  5. here's my scones recipe, make of it as you will....

  9. 2 c flour             2 eggs
  10. 4 t baking powder     2 T sugar
  11. 2/3 c milk            2 T melted BUTTER (oleo won't do)

  13. combine flour and baking powder in medium bowl; stir in milk.  beat
  14. eggs till light and fluffy, add sugar and butter. mix with milk mixture
  15. until smoothish, like for pancakes. drop by large tablespoonfuls (those
  16. big soupspoons work well) onto a hot, -lightly- greased griddle (here's
  17. where that can of Pam works) and cook over moderately low heat until
  18. pale gold, turning several times. Serve -hot-, split and buttered or
  19. spread with jam. (I usually spread thinly with butter and run under
  20. broiler till lightly toasted.... the scones, silly, not me toasted!!)
